Festetics Castle in Dég

We created content management software for the information kiosks in the castle, which make it easier for visitors to find their way around and access information about the part of the exhibition they are in.

We developed an animation and sound content management system for the shadow-projected musicians' attraction. Here, when the Visitor hits play on a piece of music from the list provided, a video projection starts that shows the musicians playing their instruments.

For the animated page-turning book attraction, we developed software that makes the physical ring-bound pages interactive and turnable with the help of a projector and a motion-sensing web camera that captures the hand gestures. In an application that brings Sándor Festetics' sample books to life, the dust-covered pages of the virtual book can be wiped off by touching the page and the "hidden" pages then become visible.

We also made an application that allows us to take selfies as part of the Festetics family while they are playing sports, using archival images as backgrounds.

As part of the Freemasonry dictionary game, similar to memory games, freemasonry phrases and words have to be matched to their meanings. At the end of the game, visitors can also send themselves a certificate of completing the game by e-mail. Visitors can also listen to edited versions of interviews with members of the staff and those who frequented the castle when the Festetics family still spent a significant amount of time in Dég, by lifting the headphones on the displayed mannequins. They can also learn about the details of the Freemason initiation ritual through a room-scale projection installation in which narration and sound effects transport the visitor back in time, into the middle of a ritual. In addition to the ceremony, visitors can listen to introductions of 10 famous Hungarian members of the Freemasonry movement.

Inspired by the original function of the Holland house, we developed a cow milking rhythm game to be played on the resin cow model placed there. Interested visitors can play the game and collect milk droplets and points by milking the cow to the rhythm of the song playing. During the game, the pace of the music accelerates.
